And They’re Off!

Eleven of the Benilde-St. Margaret’s School’s ACS Team RKRS seniors met at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport this afternoon to take the first steps to the 2014 RoboCup German Open. Here’s a visual recap:

Mr. Jump points out where the fire extinguisher used to hang (remember last year's foggy start?). No "do-over's" allowed for the 2014 BSM ACS RoboCup team.

The red trunks catch attention. A passerby stops the students, "Where are you from and where are you headed?" he asks. "Benilde-St. Margaret's School and we're headed to a robot competition in Germany!" a few answer in unison. "COOL! Good luck!" the man shouts. First of what promises to be many such encounters.

Gus, last year it was christened Ro-bert (pronounced “row-burt”). Because of the fun just experienced today, it may become “CFR” (Chicken Fried Ro-bert).
